John Frank Weldon, born on April 4, 1955, peacefully departed this life to be with the Lord on January 12, 2025. He was 69 years old.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda (Shorty) Weldon, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. He was also predeceased by three brothers: Bill Willingham, Bob Brown, and Floyd Brown Jr.
John was one of eight siblings, and he is survived by several living brothers and sisters, including Jeannette Wilson of Black Pine, Idaho; Frank Douglas Brown of Oxford, Kansas; Jack Willingham of Tacoma, Washington; and Tambrea Bodine of Brentwood, Arkansas.
He was a proud father to five children: Pepper, Pepe, Paul, Roy, and Cecil, who was the youngest. John also cherished numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life.
A passionate lover of nature, John's hobbies included fishing, hunting, hiking, and 4-wheeling, particularly in the Monte Cristo Mountain Range, a place where he felt closest to God. He was known for his kindness, diplomacy, and the ability to bring peace to every situation, endearing himself to everyone he met. His loyal dog, Gizmo, was a cherished companion, and John's love for the great outdoors was evident in all aspects of his life.
John Frank Weldon will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who remember him as a gentle spirit with a profound passion for life. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
