Jolene Belnap Brown

Jolene Belnap Brown, 55, of Roy, Utah, passed away in the comforts of her own home after a courageous battle with a genetic disease, Late Onset Tay-Sachs, on Friday, April 26, 2024. 

She was born on August 30, 1968, to the late LeaRae Konopnicki Belnap and Kenneth J. Belnap and is survived by her father, Kenneth; her devoted husband, Rulon Brown; and cherished siblings: Chimane K. Hess (Allen), Tonilee Jackson (Paul Skeary), Chantelle Sandidge (David), Jonathan K. Belnap (Kimberly Hart), and Angela Robinson (Jon). She was a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews who adored her deeply.

She was a proud and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved to serve in any capacity. She enjoyed crocheting, and dedicated herself to making potholders for everyone she knew to celebrate their birthdays. She also made intricate baby dresses for friends and family, spreading warmth and love through her handmade creations.

Music was Jolene’s refuge, and she shared her musical talents at family and church gatherings whenever she could. As the disease took its toll on her mentally and physically, she also found comfort in listening to her favorite artists, including John Denver, Lionel Richie, The Tabernacle Choir, Kenny Rogers, and the Carpenters, whose songs provided solace and uplifted her spirits during her most challenging times.

Services to honor Jolene’s life will be held at the Chateau Park Ward, 5930 South 2200 West, Roy, Utah. Viewing begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Services at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024. Jolene will be laid to rest at Brigham City Cemetery.
