Jose D Quintana

Jose D. Quintana (Joe), passed away Friday, October 4,2013. Joe was born December 2, 1946, in Ogden, Utah to Patricio P. Quintana and Maria R. (Lemos) Quintana. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969 , he was stationed in Germany; while on furlough he married Linda Espinoza, December 30, 1967. Linda later joined Joe in Germany and from this reunion Michael was born. They were later divorced but remained very good friends. He is survived by his son, Michael; three brothers, Filbert Quintana, Thomas (Connie) Quintana, Anthony (Patricia) Quintana; two sisters, Valentina Q. (Emiliano) Ortega and Loretta Quintana Fonseca; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Kelly Rivera.

Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 10 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah. Per Joe's request, there will be no viewing. Graveside services will be held in the Ogden City Cemetery, immediately following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joe Quintana Memorial Fund at any Goldenwest Credit Union. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to everyone during this time (relatives 'and friends); the staff at McKay Dee Hospital (3rd floor, Intensive Care) and South Davis Hospital (staff on the 3rd and 2nd floor, Bountiful, Utah).
