It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph A. Martinez announce his passing on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the age of 65.

 He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Joseph (Bree) Hendrix, Rebecca (Josh) Olson, and Jacob (Jen) Martinez, and his grandchildren: Alex, Zach, Jazmyne, Gavin, Isis, and Isaac. He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Leland Martinez, Johnny Castillo, and Ginger Dixon and many extended family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pancha Martinez; his brother, Richard Castillo; and his sons, Maxwell and Johans.

Growing up in Ogden, he spent his career specializing in building maintenance, as he could always be found building or fixing something. He loved to spend his time riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, and with his beloved pit bulls.

He spent many years in Alcoholics Anonymous and was a positive influence on people in the club. 

While he will be dearly missed, we find great solace that he is in Heaven, wrestling and teasing Johans. If this obituary had been up to him it would read "Up your nose, with a rubber hose!"

A viewing will be held at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, Utah  on Monday, May 7, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. with Mass to follow on May 8, 2018, at 10 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th St, Ogden, Utah.
