Julie Lorraine Paulsen

Julie Lorraine Paulsen, 58, left this life on April 20, 2024.  She was born on November 5, 1965, second daughter of Neill and Lorraine Paulsen.

She grew up in Clinton, Utah with her 5 siblings.

Julie attended Fremont Elementary, Sunset Junior High, and graduated from Clearfield High School. She met and made many lifelong friends at school. She excelled at sports including volleyball, softball, track, and basketball.  

She worked for Weber County Library, making many new friends there.  She excelled in her career starting at an entry level position advancing to office manager.

She was married to Mark Gallegos. Although she and Mark later divorced, they remained close friends. She was a wonderful stepmom to Mark’s daughter, Jamie. Julie had a special relationship with Mark’s mom, Jenny, who was a second mom to her.  They spent many hours playing cards and enjoying each other’s company.

Julie is survived by her siblings: Brenda (Ken) Stewart, Shawn (Cindee) Paulsen, Sherry (John) Jessop, and Rhonda (Bruce) Gaertner; stepdaughter, Jamie (Aaron) Prieto; and step granddaughter, Autumn Galvan.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends of which there are too many to list! She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Kristi. 

If you knew Julie, you loved her.  

We shall miss her terribly!

As per Julie’s wishes there will not be any formal services.  A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
