Kami Brunell passed away May 3, 2009 after a courageous and long fought battle with cancer, but in the end was lost at the very young age of 43. She was born on June 29, 1965 to Richard and Geraldine Mobley Gomez in Ogden, Utah.
She was a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and best friend. Kami enjoyed the simple things in life, her daughters, grandchildren, family get togethers' and most of all shopping, and spending time this past year with her sister and husband on their farm in the mountains of Duchesne, Utah. She was a kind hearted and a gentle soul who could make you laugh and light up the room with her presence.
Kami is survived by her parents, three children; Jamie, Cassie and Heidi Brunell, two grandchildren; Skyler and Shayden Brunell, siblings; Sandra Gomez (Brian) Craig and Mike Gomez, and other special friends; Maddie, Kamalita, Buddy and especially her two boys.
She is now with her brother Richard (Richie) Gomez Jr. and her cousin Mitch, grandparents Esther and Joe Gomez, and grandfather Clarence Mobley.
Kami has left an empty space in our hearts but will live in our prayers and memories until we are all together again. Kami, we love you and will remember you as you are now, and forever eternally shopping.
A special thanks to Dr. Vincent Hansen, Deanna Bojanower and Staff of Utah Oncology, Washington Terrace Health Services, and Hospice of Utah.
