Katherine Annette Nutt Crider

September 28, 1965- January 25, 2016

Katherine Annette Nutt Crider passed away on January 25th, 2016 at McKay Dee Hospital of complications related to her health.

She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on September 28, 1965.  In 1968 she moved to Brigham City, Utah, and was raised in a blended family, one of nine children.

Katie was upbeat and an inspiration, considering herself challenged, not handicapped.  She endured years of physical therapy and surgeries to help her be all she could be.    She loved the outdoors, camping trips up Blacksmith Fork and deer camp with her family and friends.  She was the poster child for the March of Dimes one year, and proudly walked across the stage on the arm of a classmate to receive her diploma when she graduated from high school.

Katie spent hours with her youngest brother, nieces and nephews playing board games, reading to them and teaching them to read.   She married three times and had a son, Andrew.

She went on to attend and graduate from Everest College.

She is survived by her beloved son Andrew Thrash and beautiful grand-daughter Zaiya Jewel: her mother Susan Nutt,  brothers Daniel and Bradley Nutt, all of Brigham, City;  sisters Cheryl Styer of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Tara Lynn Gill of Oklahoma; Marva Allred of Bear River, Utah and Darcy Fairbanks of Willard, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Glen Clifton, Katherine Yates, Virgil and Edna Nutt; father Marvin Nutt Sr., and siblings Stayce Leann Borland and Marvin Russell Nutt Jr.

The family would like to express appreciation for all of the condolences expressed by friends and family, and for the many people who have helped care for her over the years.  You will never know how much your love and friendship meant to her.

Katie’s final wishes are being handled by Aaron’s Mortuary.
