Kevin Ray Chrismer

July 19, 1988 — April 29, 2014

Kevin Chrismer was born July 19, 1988, in Clearfield, Utah. His arrival doubled the size of the Chrismer child clan and quintupled the efforts needed to raise a child. He died, April 29, 2014, age 25.

As a child, Kevin was a handful.

As an adolescent, he was independent.

As an adult, he was lost.

In an age of linked “Friends” and “Followers,” seemingly few challenge the fusion of behavior and personality that obscures tactile, social interactions of “having and being a genuine friend.”

Kevin was a genuine friend to many. For Kevin, there was found some genuine friends worthy of joining him in his expedition of life all while overcoming life-specific trials and tribulations, and challenging the hardships. For his friends, Kevin was quintessentially Kevin.

Kevin, his need to prove himself, to prove others, and continually to challenge life (and all of life’s monsters), and his wanting to conquer this life’s all-encompassing journey had its cost.

A priceless gift was lost in a sudden, life-closing twist. LOST: A son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Kevin is survived by his parents, Sandra and Kerry; his Oma Inge; sister, Jennifer; niece, Kiera; uncles, Darrell Chrismer and Steven Harker; aunts, Astrid Turner and Kat Harker and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his “Opa,” Ed Harker, whose spiritual link pulled Kevin from the countless depths often.

Services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., Eccles Park Ward, 1029 – 26th Street, Ogden, Utah.
