LaRea Harriet Nebeker

July 30, 1944 — November 14, 2008

WEST POINT-LaRea Harriet Nebeker was born 30 JUL 1944 to Lawrence Otto and Clea Olena Larsen Newman. She married Don Charles (Charly) Nebeker in the Logan Temple 17 JAN 1969. After having battled cancer with courage and dignity, she passed away Friday, 14 NOV 2008 at home with her family. She served many, as a teacher and leader, in different church callings, in Primary, Relief Society, and civic originations. She loved cooking and playing games with her family and friends. LaRea wanted to travel the world. Born in Salt Lake City, her family started in Logan, Charles joined the USAF. They lived in Biloxi, MS. Travis AFB, CA, the island Guam, Altus, OK, Phoenix AZ, Las Vegas, NV and Mildenhall, UK. They traveled America, and Europe from Russia to Israel before settling in West Point, UT. LaRea is survived by Charly her husband and son Charles Reese in West Point, son Joseph Ben (Jennifer) Nebeker in Sacramento, CA, daughters Theresa (Kenny) Palmer in Ellabell, GA and Tasha (Nick) Faber in West Jordan, UT, and eight, soon to be nine grandchildren. Also her father Lawrence of SLC, brothers; Larry, Milton, Roy and Kevin, sisters; Launa (LaMar) Larsen and Twila (Ron) Martinez. All in Utah. LaRea gave so much love and was loved by all who knew her, she will be dearly missed. A celebration of her life will be held at 6:30 on Friday November 21, 2008 at the LDS 12th Ward Chapel, 550 No. 2300 W., West Point, UT. In lieu of flowers, (LaRea was allergic to most for many years) donations may be made to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation (100% goes to research), in her memory. 500 Huntsman Way SLC UT 84108 or call 801-584-5816.
