Well, Boys and Girls, if you’re reading this it’s Adios!
I was born to J. Dale and Agnes Sandland Folker on November 26, 1944. I have 6 siblings: Linda, Robert, Glenn, Jeff and Jerry, and Marcia. All of whom are doing well. I married Jill Wallace in 1968, we later divorced but remained close friends, We had one child, a champion, we named Erika. She in turn married another champion, Steve Sherwood. They, in the nature of things, gave us 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Jack Sherwood. Truly, they both give me so much joy-words fail me. I love them all deeply.
I’ve had way too many careers/occupations to begin to enumerate. Guess I was just too restless to stick with one thing. However, because of this wanderlust, I have had the opportunity to meet a vast array of tremendously interesting and wonderful folks, a number of which I can count as friends. I see it as a privilege to call so many unique individuals I’ve met to be secure enough of their friendship to call them friends. I can’t refer to names in fear that I would leave someone out. They know who they are, that’s what’s important.
Anyone that knows me understands my love of animals in general, and baseball, rodeo and skiing in particular: three sports I did my best to excel in. Unfortunately, I was not gifted in any of the three. I like to think I performed as well as my abilities allowed.
As far as religion goes, I have subscribed to the “Church of the Golden Rule” for a # of years and that has worked well for me.
So, with more than enough said, in closing I must say-Very few regrets. My life has just been one Grand Adventure!!
Love Ya All,
Larry
