Lena A Garcia

Lena A. Garcia was born on November 1, 1928 In Delta, Co. to Emilio and Adelia Abeyta. She grew up in Delta and met the love of her life Jose "Poncho" Garcia they were later married on April 9, 1947. Together they were blessed with 7 children.

Lena loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and found great joy in her family. She loved being with her family and spending quality time. She loved traveling between Utah and Colorado to visit with her family. She loved watching her novellas and hardly missed a single one.

On the morning of February 18, 2014 while surrounded by her family God called her home to be by his side.

Her parents preceded her in death, her husband Jose Rubel Garcia, and her son's Orlando and Roger Garcia.

Lena is survived by 5 of her children, Rachel (Steve) Salazar, Darnell Garcia, Anita (Chuck) Diarte, Lulu Valdez, and Elena Vigil; her sister Delfie Prieto and brothers Lupe and Emilio Abeyta. Also surviving her are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many many family members.

She will be greatly missed and is loved deeply.

A Memorial Service for Lena will be held Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11 am at Aarons Mortuary. 496 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401. The family would like to give a special thanks to Rachel and Steve Salazar fro always being there and caring for her.
