Linda Peterson Cook was called home Sunday July 24th, 2011 at the age of 68.
She was born in Ogden, UT Feb. 23rd 1943, the daughter of Clarence R and Hazel P (Moore) Peterson.
She graduated from Ben Lomond HS and retired from Hill AFB after over 38 years of service. She became a part time crossing guard for Ogden City where she enjoyed watching and protecting the children on her corner.
She married Clyde Cook and was later divorced.
She enjoyed spending time with her only granddaughter. She had a tender place in her heart for animals and loved her dogs.
She was a very kind person with a ready smile that could put you at ease. She also had a keen sense of humor and had no trouble laughing at herself.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held numerous callings in her lifetime.
She is survived by her son Michael D (Lorna) Cook and their daughter Hayley of Hooper and her sister Gayle (Leo) Bendinelli of Ogden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Jeffery Neil Cook.
Her family would like to thank her wonderful neighbors and friends for their friendship and love.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family on Saturday, July 30th at 11 am at the Rock Cliff Ward at 300 Gramercy Avenue, Ogden, UT, Bishop Tyler Kunzler presiding. Interment will follow at a later date
