Linda Joy Thomson

Linda Joy Powell Thomson was born August 6, 1943 in American Fork, Utah  returned to heaven March 9, 2016 at the age of 72.

She grew up mostly in Layton, Utah. She married her eternal companion Jim Thomson May 6, 1960. She was a loving mother of their three children and adored her grandchildren. Her family brought her the greatest joy, nothing made her happier than being with them.

Linda also loved church and served willingly  attending the temple as often as she could, immersed in the joy of the doing the work there. She loved her ward and often talked about the kindness of its members.

 She is survived by husband Jim Thomson; children Joy (George) Ryder, Jim (Brenda) Thomson, Amber (Jason) Waters; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother Garth (Elma) Powell.

She was welcomed home by her parents Arthur and Edna Powell, 5 sisters, 3 brothers, and 3 infant siblings.

She was loved much and will be greatly missed!                                                                                                                                            

Service will be held  Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 12:00  (noon), at the LDS Church, located at 2120 West Gentile, Layton UT 84041.
