OGDEN- Lois Moore Buckway passed away Friday, October 24, 2008 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 24, 1933 to Ward and Nellie Moore.
She married Vernon Buckway on August 4, 1951. Mom loved fishing and camping with Bucky. She loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. You could always stop at Mom's and find a cup of coffee, a cold beer or something to eat. There was always a tootsie roll in the famous tootsie roll jar. She worked for Donalyn Draperies for fifteen years.
Lois is survived by three sons; David (Michelle) Buckway of Roy, Kelly (Deanne) Buckway of Pleasant View, Kerry (Debbie) Buckway of Roy, one daughter Jodi Buckway (Freddie Macias deceased) of Ogden, also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, three sisters; Mary (Dave) White of Ogden, Gertie (Dale) Jensen of Valley Center, CA. Ruth (George) Clements of North Glenn CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, her mother Nellie, her father Ward, brother Joe and her sisters; Leola, June and Dorthy.
A Memorial service will be held at Aaron's Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2008 with Inurnment to follow at Hooper Cemetery, 5290 So. 6300 West.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ogden Regional ICU and a very special thanks to Karen, Trish, Monte, Dr. Abel, Dr. Whipple and the two angels, Sister Stephanie and Sister Mary.
"I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day and when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray, when in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep, that in his mercy I will be judged big enough to keep."
Cremation under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary.
