Lois Higgs Holmes

Lois Higgs Holmes passed away due to natural causes on August 13th, 2012 at her home with her loving family at her side. Lois was born October 2nd, 1941 in Ogden, Utah to Harvey W. and Virginia Hendry Higgs.

She graduated from Weber High in 1959. Lois was a member of the Luthern Church.

Lois married Gordon J. Holmes on October 2nd 1959 in Ogden at the St Paul's Luthern Church, Together they raised three girls.

She was a stay at home mom and volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for many years. Lois then went to work at Williams International as a metal finisher. She retired at age 65.

Lois loved to camp with family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and made clothes for her girls, plus clothes for their dolls so they could match. She was great at crafts and gave many of them for gifts. Lis also enjoyed doing jigsaw and word puzzles. She grew quite an interest in ladybugs and had a large collection of trinkets. Lois even named her beloved Shi-tzu, Ladybug.

Lois is survived by Gordon and their three girls; Becky (Chris) Price, Sandy Holmes, Wendy (Charlie) Parker; grandson, Brook (Charlee Carlin) Price; great grandson, Zander Price; step-grandchildren, Chuck and Jessica Parker; her sister, Lavon Venstra; brother, Rusty Higgs and many more cherished nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dan Higgs.

A celebration of life will be held for Lois on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at noon at the Ogden Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave.

A special thank you is granted to Hospice for all their help and support. Lois will always be remembered and never forgotten.

Cremation is under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary of Ogden
