Lois Price

May 14, 1932 – Sept. 12, 2021

Layton, UT - Lois Marion Price returned to her Heavenly Father on September 12th 2021, surrounded by her dear loving and caring husband, Ronald M. Price and family members at their lovely home.   The world will miss this shining and wonderful soul, who was unceasingly happy, cheerful, positive and upbeat.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, James Cecil and Lula Walker, her brother, Ronald, and granddaughter, Rebecca.  She was survived by her husband Ronald, two children, Regina and Gregory, her siblings, James, Clark, and Marlene. She had 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

One of her precious talents was her lovely and glorious voice of which she shared in many church choirs.  She is fondly remembered for singing precious lullabies to her children and grandchildren.  Even though she suffered from dementia for many years, she and her beloved husband sang beautiful songs to each other each passing day.

When Lois entered a room, she would instinctively search for the person in need of comfort, then extend to them loving kindness and care.  She was known for her uplifting spirit and always had humorous stories and fun quips she related to family and friends.  Grandchildren would often say after a phone call or visit, “I always feel better after talking with Grandma.” They loved to sleep over and Lois would make them French toast in the middle of the night and warmed their blankets in the dryer before bed.  She was also remembered by her Grandchildren for her back tickles.

Her family and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were always central to her.  Throughout her life she held many callings including Relief Society President (3 times) Young Women’s President and was a faithful servant.  She was committed to living a Christ-like life and truly loved everyone she met.  The light of her life was her faithful husband, Ronald, and as her spirit faded into her twilight years, she would often thank him for his loving care that he gave to her daily.

Lois, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, words cannot express how we will miss you.  We find comfort in knowing you are only a prayer away.  Thank you for choosing to be in our family during our earthly sojourn.

We would like to express special thanks to the Nurses, especially Morgan Walker, Caregivers and “Angels” who cared for Lois this past year.
