Lorraine Faye Green passed away peacefully February 15, 2015. She was born September 11, 1929 in Birch Creek to Delbert Emory Green and Gladys Faye Swindel Green. She was raised in Ogden and attended Ogden schools. She worked for the IRS, Walgreens and the dime store, proudly working as a waitress, hostess and cashier most of her thirty years of working,.
She married Walter Jay Campbell, Jr on April 3, 1946. Together they had one daughter, Kaye Lorraine Campbell , now Karlyn Kay Doman Olesky. Lorraine and Walter were divorced in January in 1958. She then married Earl Ross Giles in 1958. They were divorced in 1967
Lorraine loved dining and dancing, sightseeing, car rides, yard work, gladiolas, carnations, the Lordâs Prayer and Beyond the Sunset, but her real passion was her animals. She was a devoted animal lover. They were her life and in 1975 she formed a non-profit organization called Animal Adoption and Care Team. With the help of several volunteers, she rescued animals off the streets and from animal shelters to find them good homes.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Olesky of Montana; several grandchildren and great-children she loved very much, Kammira Dee Howard Roskelley, Bradley Jay Howard, Kimber Lee Howard Schuenmann, and Tandy Jo Howard of Ogden; and several wonderful friends and pets.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday, February 27, 2015, at 2 pm at Ogden City Cemetery.
