Louise Jurek

Louise Jurek, 82, of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Clearfield, Utah, died peacefully on January 31, 2018. Born September 1, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio; she is predeceased by her parents, Otto Geering and Margaret Geering.

Louise (also known as “Lou” by her family and friends) earned her nursing degree, served as an officer in the Air Force, enjoyed traveling, quilting, reading, cake decorating, playing bridge, knitting, as well as tinkering with mechanical gizmos and gadgets throughout her life.

Survivors include her children: Walter (Tammie) Jurek of the Woodlands, TX; Julie (Eric) Dale of Centreville, VA; Margaret Jurek of Colorado Springs, CO; Karl (Cate) Jurek of Salt Lake City, UT; 2 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, 1 great granddaughter and her brother Otto Geering of Wilton, IA.
