Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend Mabel L. Fresques Trujillo, Born October 27, 1928, passed
gracefully into eternity on June 16, 2023, of natural causes.
Born and raised in Montrose Colorado to loving parents, Aurora and Edward Fresques, Mabel was the
middle child of 9 children. She married Jose Raphael Trujillo June 8, 1946, and remained married until
his death in 1986.
A resident of Ogden, Utah, Mabel attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, worked in the kitchens of McKay
Dee and Ogden Regional Hospital, and alongside her husband raised 9 children of her own.
Mabel loved cooking, crafts, fishing, playing cards, singing and dancing. Her greatest enjoyment,
however, was her family. She was light, love and laughter to everyone who knew her. Compassionate,
kind, protective, caring and wise. Her love was unconditional, and her faith was strong. “Her children
rise up and call her blessed” Proverbs 3:28
Survived by her 8 children, Angelina M. Martinez, Carmela Delgado (Ray), Raymond Trujillo (Sharon),
Edward Trujillo, Aurora Crowson (Larry), Ralph Trujillo, David Trujillo, and Steve Trujillo (Melissa); 27
grandchildren; 80 Great and great-great grandchildren; Sister, Ruby Cordova; and many nieces and
nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, husband, and son, Jimmy.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday June 23, 2023 at 11:30 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.
A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm with Rosary at 7 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary,
496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah. Interment Ogden City Cemetery.
