At the age of 44, Marcella (Marcey) Buchanan died peacefully on October 5, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a courageous battle of ongoing health issues. Marcella was born in San Diego, California January 31st 1977 to Willard and Marie Buchanan.
She is survived by her mother, older sister, three brothers and her three children: Aaron Maes, Anthony Maes and Austin Maes along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as her dear friend Gary Frear,whom she was always able to confide in.
Besides spending time with her family and friends her bright and energetic personality lit up any room she walked into. She was known for her contagious laugh, goofy personality and the helping-hand she was always offering to anyone she could. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for living life in the moment.

Family and close friends are invited to celebrate her celebration of life with a graveside gathering that will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00pm at Aaron’s mortuary located at 1050 South State Street, Clearfield Utah 84015.
