Margaret Edna Bailey

March 1, 1951 — May 31, 2016

Margaret Edna Bailey passed away on Tuesday May 31, 2016 with her husband and sons at her side.  She was born in Susanville, CA on March 1, 1951 to William Burton Pate and Mary Algerina Langley.  She graduated from Las Plumas High School in Oroville, CA in 1970.

She married the love of her life, Gary Duane Bailey, on November  9, 1975 in Yakima, WA. They had 3 children, her sons:  Kevin Bailey and Joshua Bailey (Ogden, UT) and her daughter and son-in-law, Gena  and  David Lounsbury (Spokane, WA).  She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Bailey, Abbie, Timri, Kaden, Tobey & Joey. Also by, a large extended family: her sister and brother-in-law, Dianna and Al McCreary (Plainville, AR), and many brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, great aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends around the country and world, and her two puppies: Woody and Baby.

She was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed her wonderful friends at the Washington Terrace 6th Ward very much.

Mom had a beautiful voice and smile. She enjoyed making people laugh. She also loved the ocean.

She traveled the country and the world as a USAF spouse. She loved visiting other places and seeing the sights.

She was dearly loved and will be missed by everyone that was lucky enough to have met her.  We have comfort that she is no longer in pain. The tears we shed are for our hearts as she has left a big gap.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two younger brothers, many aunts and uncles, her mother-in-law and father-in-law and her beloved Boston Terrier, Lillie.

Thank you to Mount Ogden Rehab, the MDs, RNs and staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center, and all of the MDs  that helped mom along her health journey.

Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11 am at the Washington Terrace 6th Ward, 4760 S 200 E. A viewing will be held on Friday evening,  from 6-8 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services at the church.
