Margaret Huerta Montoya
Layton-Margaret Huerta Montoya, 91, passed away peacefully at her home, Thursday, May 21, 2015 from liver cancer.
She was born September 29, 1923 in Petersboro, Utah, the daughter of Gumecindo and Tomasa Garcia Huerta, She married Jose F. Montoya on May 9, 1953 in Evanston, WY.
She was a beautiful/spiritual, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She loved reading, listening to Christian Music, and visiting with her family, friends, children, and grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor!
She was a member of St. Josephâs Catholic Church.
Surviving are one son and three daughters, Andrew Montoya of Salt Lake City, Mrs Willis (Irene) Brown and Laura Montoya, both of Layton, Mrs. Enrique (Alma) Orosco of Pleasant View; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; also surviving are two sisters, Teresa Antista, Francis Pulido, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents;, two sisters and four brothers, Maxine Rios, Mary Mora, Caledonio Huerta, Frank Huerta, Peter Huerta, and John Huerta; two daughters, Marian Navarro, Genevieve Noriega; one son, Lonnie Montoya and two granddaughters, Condelaria Navarro and Monica Betancourt; and one great-grandson, Fredelico Montoya.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 10 am at Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm with Holy Rosary at 7 pm at Aaronâs Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden Utah.
