Margie Hoggan Hansen

January 27, 1922 — January 15, 2013

Margie Hoggan Hansen, daughter of Robert Ellis and Katie Eliza Malan Hoggan died January 15, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 27, 1922 along with a twin brother, Marvin. She grew up in the Ogden area and graduated from Ogden High in 1940. She attended Weber College for a short time and then worked at Packer and West Jewelers. She married Dean J. Hansen in the Salt Lake Temple, February 4, 1942. They became the proud parents of 7 children, which included a set of twins. During this time she was active in the PTA and scouting. Margie was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel and believed it with all her heart. She was known for her counted cross-stitch, love of gardening, music and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David, her 4 brothers and sister. She is survived by her children: Jolene Todd Hansen, Kathleen (Terry ) Hellstrom, Robert Dean (Tammy) Hansen, John Kevin (Gini) Hansen, James Dayton (Jennie) Hansen, Janet (Jim) Malone, and Kirk Hansen. She leaves behind 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, January 18, 2013.
