Maria Carlota Baca

April 2, 1920 — February 26, 2017

Maria Carlota Gutierrez Baca passed away February 26, 2017.  She was born April 2, 1920 to Alipio Gutierrez and Benigna Garcia in La Jara, New Mexico. On June 26,1937 she married Carlos Baca. They had 12 children.

She is survived by 5 children. Tillie (Gerardo) Alvarez, Ruth Gonzales, Judy Zamora, Henry Baca and Robert Baca. She is also survived by 3 siblings; Rubel (Dora) Gutierrez, Max (Sadie) Gutierrez, Mary (Joe) Sandoval, 35 grandchildren, and many more great and great, great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alipio & Benigna, her husband Carlos, brother Cypriano, her sons Jose, Pat, Arneldo, Felix, Richard and daughters Maria and Jerry Symonds.

Carlota was a dedicated member of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 41 years.

We lost an amazing women. She enjoyed sewing, word searches puzzles spending time with family and reading the Bible daily. She loved to laugh and was always excited to hold and welcome new grand- children into her life. She lived a long and meaningful life and always led with a kind and gentle example. She leaves behind fond memories and wonderful stories for us to treasure. She was very important to our lives and our memories of her are priceless. She will be dearly missed and NEVER forgotten. We know she will be awaiting us in paradise; John 5:28 and Revelation 21:4.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm with a service at 7 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.

 

A special talk will be held for her at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 11, 2017 at 1 pm followed by a dinner at 5:30 pm at the Marshall White Center in Ogden.
