Maria de Jesus Holguin

June 8, 1934 — June 9, 2019

Maria de Jesus Holguin, 85, our dearly beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, passed away on June 9, 2019 at McKay-Dee Hospital. Maria was born on June 8, 1934 to Marcos Holguin and Simona Marroquin. She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, but lived in Utah the last 28 years with her children.

Maria married Hector Santana July 18, 1966 who preceded her in death April 10, 1991.  Together they raised 8 children. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her youngest daughter, and her great-granddaughter.

She is survived by 7 children. Jose, Jaime, Arturo, Hector, Benita, Edilberto, and Normando; 39 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.

Maria had a beautiful heart that loved everyone and always showed kindness to her family and friends. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and watching Mexican soap operas. She enjoyed her grandchildren’s soccer tournaments and was always there cheering them on. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We love you Mom/Grandma.
