Mary L. Garcia Our beloved Mother and Grandmother Mary L. Garcia, age 89, passed away Friday night January 4th 2013 at home with her family by her side. She was born December 29th 1923 in Montrose, Colorado to Fredrico Arellano and Eutima Lujan. She married Michael (Mike) Garcia on December 29th 1945. Mary enjoyed life especially the outdoors, fishing, and camping. She enjoyed being in her garden as well. She was very family oriented, and was the rock of the family. She was the most amazing, caring, and loyal woman. She is survived by daughter, Laura Garcia of Ogden; older sister, Helen (Toby) Maez of Commerce City Co; sister/niece, Linda Santillan of SLC; Grandchildren, Chantell (Enrique) Zarate, Ogden; Michael (Monica) Garcia, Ogden; Keisha (Francisco) Echevarria, Ogden; Salena Echevarria, Ogden; Georgia L. Peer-Gallegos, Ogden; Zackary Gallegos, Ogden; Yvette A. Gallegos, Ogden; nephew, Toby Jr. (Gloria) Maez, CO; nieces, Vicky (Frank) Rauzi, CO; Terry (Chris) Martinez, CO; many great nephews and nieces as well as 22 great-grandchildren. She was welcomed into the gates of heaven by her husband, Mike; son, Joe; Twin brother, John; sisters, Annie Diaz and Julia Lucero; brothers, Dan Herrera, Amough Herrera, and Sandalio Miera; grandchild, Lakeisha; as well as her parents Eutima and Fredrico Arellano. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday evening, January 14, 2013 with Holy Rosary 6:30 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.aaronsmortuary.com.
