Matilda Profaizer

April 23, 1918 – June 7, 2017

Matilda Coletti Profaizer, "Tillie," passed away on June 7, 2017.  She was born on April 23, 1918 in Cumberland, Wyoming to Peter and Josephine Coletti.

She graduated from Weber High School in 1935.  She married Fred Profaizer on September 1, 1936.  They were married for 71 years until his death in 2008.

Tillie was very athletic and loved to play sports in high school.  She golfed and was on many bowling leagues her adult life.  She enjoyed her social life, being a member of the Ogden Elks and Ogden Eagles for many years.  Her "club" were women that first organized to buy a bus for St Joseph's Catholic School and then met every third Wednesday of the month for over 60 years.  She was active in St Mary's Altar Society, doing the flowers and linens for Sunday masses.  She was always a room mother at her children's schools and very involved in PTA.

Our beautiful mother loved St Jude, The Patron Saint of Hope;  she would have his medals, candles and prayers around her.   Mom loved to cook and and bake for her family and friends.  Her home was where she loved to be.

She is survived by her children:  Pam Profaizer Wilker (Curt), Brent Profaizer (Paulette) and Don Profaizer.  She leaves eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Her oldet son, Fred A. Profaizer (Judy) preceded her in death.

Her family would like to thank Our House of Ogden for her care and especially Brighton Hospice for her "angels" Tiffany and Curry.

A special thanks to Elaine Reintjes for her care and friendship to mom.  Also gratitude to Joan Opheikens for her weekly communion and prayers with mom.

At Tillie's request there will be no service.   A Celebration-of-Life Mass will be held at a later date.
