Matthew  Gabriel Martinez        

Our beloved Matthew  G.  Martinez passed away August 24, 2014.  He was  born November 29, 1992 in Ogden, Utah to Lorenzo  Martinez and Desiree Mora.     He was raised in Ogden.

As a child, Matt grew up with numerous  cousins and  family who were very special to him.    He had a special bond with his brother , Tino, that could never be broken.  Since  the day he was born he was known as “little man”;  he was funny as they come and tougher than that.  He loved outdoors especially  swimming,  camping, and action figures (“his guys”).    He was a fan of “Scarface”, Utah Jazz and the Dallas Cowboys.

In 2010, he met the love of his life, Finamarie and together they had his little princess, Kayleigh whom he loved with all his heart and they meant the world to him.

He is survived by his parents, brothers and sisters, Dana, Anthony, Tino,  and Angel ia  that Matt believed  he was her Daddy and taught her everything she knew;  grandparents, his Nana  Joann (Joe) Martinez, Grandpa Mora Eddie, Loretta  Melendez, Grandpa Guy (Pat) Martinez ; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces,  and nephews and many friends;  also a special thanks to  D’Angelo (brother), the Mora family and many others for their love and support  for Matt.  He was loved unconditionally by all.

His is preceded in death by Grandma Jean and Pappy and ,  and two especially close cousins Todd and Shawn and numerous others that were dear to Matt.

Funeral Mass  will be held Tuesday , September 2, 2014 at 11 am at St Joseph’s Catholic Church  514 24^th St, Ogden, Utah,  with Holy Rosary at 10:30 am,  prior to Mass at St Joseph Catholic Church.   A viewing will be held from 9 am to 10:15 am at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24^th Street Ogden, Utah.    Interment Ogden City Cemetery.
