Matthew Thomas Slatter

Matthew Thomas Slatter (Matt) age 44, passed away peacefully unexpectedly on December 21, 2023, with his mother by his side. Matt was born June 20, 1979, to Thomas and Barbara Slatter in Ogden, Utah where he remained until his death.

When Matt was young, he enjoyed scouting, bike racing and anything ninja related. He attended Fremont High School and joined the Marine Corp in 2001. Matt served a tour in Iraq in 2002 and was a purple heart recipient. Matt was very talented; he spent many hours on his lathe creating various types of wood projects.

Matt is survived by his three children that he loved more than anything in life. Kaitlyn (Trey) Romer, Rylee Slatter, and Tristan Slatter. His mother Barbara Larkin, brother Jason (Joanie) Slatter, sister Angie (Brandon) Teasdale and a very special niece and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Slatter and grandparents.
