Together Again

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother returned to her Heavenly Father on December 25, 2015.  She was born June 9, 1927 to Louis Otto and Mercy Ann Hamann; Mom grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake City, UT. 

Maxine married Jerry Lou McGuire on October 19, 1946, in Salt Lake City, UT. They lived in Ogden, Utah where Maxine worked at the Defense Depot in Ogden until she retired.  Together they had eight children: Geraldine (Rob) Wagner, Patrick (MaryEllen) McGuire, Kelly (Alison) McGuire, Kurt (Carrie) McGuire, Cass (Karen) McGuire, Teresa (Leon) Bedford, Connie (Fred) Dickerson and Sandra Kay; 23 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren with three great-great grandchildren on the way.

Mom loved to paint and travel, Mom and Dad were snowbirds to their Arizona home in the winter. She was devoted to her family. She enjoyed all family activities, especially times at their Deep Creek property, as well as camping, fishing and going to the Horse & Dog races.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; two daughters, Geraldine Wagner and Sandra Kay; one granddaughter and one great-grandson. 

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11 am at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street Ogden, Utah. A Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 am prior to the service at the mortuary.
