Melanie Gina Starks Fahselt

OGDEN, UTAH – On Saturday, January 14, Melanie Gina Starks Fahselt, loving mother of three and friend to all, passed away at the age of 67.   She was the daughter of Gayle and Margaret Starks and was born and raised in Clearfield, Utah.  

A bright personality, Gina loved the company of friends and family and will be remembered for her sense of humor and infectious laugh.   She fiercely loved each of her children and grandchildren – her final moments in this life were spent in the company of family. 

Gina was inquisitive and loved to be entertained by mystery cases and television programs.  She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1973 and started a successful career in cosmetology where she worked in the greater Ogden area for nearly 30 years. 

Friends, neighbors, and family members remember Gina for her music - she loved to replay the same song for hours at a time in her home.  Her favorites were John Mellencamp, the Bee Gees, and anything disco.  

Her siblings, Steven Starks, Mindy Brant, and Michael Starks all remember Gina for her playful, optimistic, and curious personality – they are grateful Gina is now reunited with her parents, friends, and other loved ones who have gone before her. 

Gina leaves a legacy of hard work and love in her three beautiful children – Keli Montgomery, Rachael Berry, and Kenny Fahselt.  Together, her children blessed her with seven grandchildren who are all doing great things. 

The family encourages those who knew Gina to attend the funeral service on Monday, January 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Clearfield Stake Center 935 S State St, Clearfield, Utah 84015. A viewing will be held from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at the same location. Interment at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 State St, Clearfield, UT 84015.  For more information, please call 801-708-3618
