Merlin L Edwards

Merlin L. Edwards lost his battle with cancer on the evening of July 12, 2022 at age 70.

Merlin was born on May 27, 1952 to Joyce and Boyd Edwards.

He is survived by his siblings Sharon and Dwight Goodnight, Donald and Sue Edwards, Raymond Pearce, Sherri and John Francis, Judy Francis, and Charlotte Edwards.

He met his wife Patsy Irene and they married on November 14th, 1971

They had two children, their son Brad Edwards whom married Nanette. And their daughter Veronica Edwards, plus Cristofer Coutts who married into the family.

Him and Pat had multiple grandchildren:
Mason Edwards, Lexie Coutts, Andy Coutts, and Cheyenne Coutts.

Patsy proceeded him in death on February 28th, 2013

Merlin worked for Futura industries for about 45 years until his retirement. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing & hunting. He loved being on the mountain or in the casino.

Later in his life he found love again in his fiancée Monika Langstein. Monika has two children and their spouses:
Wendi and John Fuller, Michael and Dolores Pahl

And her grandkids whom Merlin adored :
Brittany Kidd and Ryan Finley, Hayden and Alex Kidd, Andrew Kidd, Jesus Lopez, Daniella Lopez, Sonia Lopez, Alex Lopez, and great grandson Zayden Medina

Monika and Merlin planned to blend the families together this coming fall. Monika gave Merlin love and happiness and stood
by him through it all.

Together they had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family that loved him greatly.

The twinkle of mischief in his eye and the smile on his face were sights to behold. He was the best Father, Grandpa, Big brother, Uncle and Friend. He was giving of his time with a wicked sense of humor and love to all.

The family would like to thank all of the help with taking care of Merlin during his battle, and keeping him comfortable before he went home to the Lord and our loved ones in heaven.

Viewing Services will be held at Aaron’s Mortuary on July 23rd, 2022 at 9am
