Michael Gardner passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, from complications of cancer. He passed at his home surrounded by his sweetheart of 32 years and many families and friends. He was born on December 31, 1948, in Boise, Idaho.
Michael was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Marines from 1967 to 1969.
Michael had many pastimes, family being number one. He was a long-time golfer and bowler. No matter how he felt he loved being on the golf course whether it be playing or mowing the back nine at Glen Eagle Golf Course. Michael bowled three leagues at Davis Lanes and Sparetime Bowling center. Everyone is going to miss his hugs.
Michael is survived by his long-time sweetheart, Lorrie Deragon; three sons: Benjamin Gardner (Jen), Taylor Gardner, and Jim Gardner (Elizabeth); three stepsons: Chris Deragon (Gwen), Michael Deragon, and Matthew Deragon;. 16 grandchildren: Jani, Braydon, Katelynn, Cody, Breeanna, Bryan, Payten, Paige, Keira, Gage, Abby, Bree, Tristan, Ainsley, Evelynn, and Jameson; 5 great- grandchildren: Raiden, Krissa, Bentley, Maddison, and Ellie; sister ,Sheryl Benton (Joe) and brother, Dennis Gardner. (Shelli) and many cousins nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Gardner; his father, Darrel Gardner; and brother, John Gardner
We would like to thank the staff at Utah Cancer Specialists for the care you gave Michael the last three years, and the staff at Quality Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 1050 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah.
