It is with a heavy heart, the family of Michael (Mikey) Ray Staton bid farewell to a son, father, and
brother, as he passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 31.
Growing up, Mikey was always good at making people laugh and smile, never conforming to society or
what is considered “normal.” Mikey was the type of man you could rely on to have your back or be a
shoulder to cry on when times were tough. If you ever had a problem, you could go to him, and this
empathy and openness never left him or faded with age.
At the age of 19, Mike had his first son, Damian Jay Staton, born on July 24, 2011. On November 1,
2022, at age 30, Mikey welcomed his second son, Xavian (Stinky Little) Ramorin Staton. Mikey was an
outstanding and dedicated father who wanted nothing more than to see his sons grow up happy.
In 2019, Mikey started work in telecommunications and infrastructure. He gained 2 years of experience in
the field before accepting a new opportunity at Strategic Wireless Groups in 2021.
On any particular day, you could find Mikey enjoying one of his many hobbies --- caught up in the latest
video game, out on a fishing trip, going for a hike, on a camping adventure, getting lit at a concert with
his puddin’ Dusty, or spending time with his beloved children and family. Mikey is survived by his mother, Pam Staton; father, JT Pantle; siblings – Christa Courtney, Shaydo Staton, Leah Hart, Vanittee
Stewart, Shandra Holmes, Brandon Courtney; and two sons - Damian Jay Staton and Xavian (Stinky
Little) Ramorin Staton.
A Memorial Service will be held for Mikey on September 1, 2023 located at Aron’s Mortuary & Crematory, 496 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401, from 6-8 pm.
