Moana T. Gale
OGDEN- On Saturday, September 27, 2008, Moana T. Gale passed quietly away due to causes incident to age. She was born April 3, 1917 to Wilford and Jane Thornock in Bloomington, Idaho. She married Vern A. Gale on December 2, 1939. Their marriage was later solomized in the Salt Lake Temple on April 18, 1962. They are finally together again.
Mom was a quiet powerful spirit. She loved to serve her family, from her children to her siblings and friends. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the light of her life.
In our recollection we can't remember a time our mother spoke ill of anyone. She had the gifts of self-control, kindness and good'down to earth' advice.
She was an amazing designer and seamstress. She outfitted her family for many years. She was a provident woman who never wasted and was never extravagant. Her hobby was moving the furniture, that's one thing we won't miss!
Vern and Moana were the parents of five children: Marla (William) Foulkes; Carol (Richard) Crossley, both deceased; Vernae (James) Felt; Dawn (Robert) Chairez, Dawn deceased; and Steve (Linda) Gale. She has sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
"Once in a lifetime, you might meet someone extraordinary! One who lifts you, encourages you and serves you, though weary. One whose example is always true, One you can count on to see you through!
Once in a lifetime you might have a true friend. One who will talk with you, Walk with you, Cry with you, Laugh with you, Clear till the end! Once in a lifetime there comes an angel like no other, It happened to our family a" we call her Mother."
