Nathan "Pierre" DuVal Talbot

August 8, 1947 — August 27, 2017

Nathan DuVal “Pierre” Talbot

DuVal “Pierre” was born on August 8, 1947, the fifth son and ninth child of Denzil Griffith and Clarissa Paulina Housley Talbot.  He passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the Heritage Park Care Center in Roy, Utah, after a long battle with metastatic lung cancer, during which he never complained.

He was born and raised in Lewiston, Utah, and attended Lewiston Elementary School, Lewiston Junior High School, and North Cache High School. He began working at the age of 8, milking cows, hauling hay, and various other jobs around the farms of Cache Valley.

After high school he was drafted and served in the 4th Infantry Division, Artillery, in the Vietnam War from October 1966 to October 1968, when he was honorably discharged as a Corporal.  He then married Edith Murray Perkins;  they were later divorced.  He lived most of his adult life in the Ogden area and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as a Brakeman/Conductor.

He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, riding his four- wheeler, golfing, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching all kinds of sports.  He made friends easily and was greeted with warmth in just about every café in the Ogden area.  He was kind to others and often reached out to friends, family, and, sometimes, strangers in need.

He leaves behind three daughters: Robin (Bill) Ann Hicks, Wendy (Thomas) Talbot Price, Talona (Crystal) Talbot; grandchildren: Brennan, Troy (Melinda), Makenna, Alexander (Rachael), Carrigan, Carlysle, Kennedy, Graham, Jentri, and Maycee; as well as siblings: Clenn Talbot, Vondelyn Smith, Leatrice Esplin, Alden Talbot, Lyle Talbot, Elaine Mace, Don Talbot, DelRa Talbot, ReNae Yeates, Vada Vroman, and Venice Anderson.

He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Kim Talbot and sister, ALeda Mitchell.

Friends and family may call Friday, September 1, from 11:00-12:00 at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.  Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Lewiston City Cemetery, 1000 E Center Street, Lewiston, Utah.

We will miss him.
