Nicholas Tyler Galvan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas Tyler Galvan. Nicholas was born on September 15,1989, in Logan, Utah to Paulette Pearse and Rigoberto Galvan. 

Growing up Nicholas had a hand full of nicknames, some of which were Niko, Nick, and Mono. He was always full of energy running around with the family dogs or riding his bike, but his favorite one was always spending time with family. He had the biggest heart and was a caring individual who loved family and friends and wasn’t afraid to tell you.

He was a proud Utahan and always asked, “Are the mountains still beautiful?” whenever he was out of Utah. Not only was he proud of his home state, but he was also a fan of the Utah Jazz and always took all the teasing his younger brothers would give him for supporting the Jazz. He always said he could take teasing from his younger brothers since he had four older brothers that teased him just as much or more. 

Nicholas loved to fish, and he always took the opportunity to go fishing wherever he was. He would come home ready to cook his catches, but not before chasing his sister to kiss the fish. 

Nicholas loved to eat menudo, which was one of his favorite Mexican dishes and would often ask his stepmom for some homemade flour tortillas. He never turned down a good meal.

His unexpected passing has left us brokenhearted, but he will remain a part of our lives through all the memories and laughs. As he would often say, “You don’t know the Good ol’ Days ‘till they’re the Good ol’ Days.”

Nicholas is survived by his father, Rigoberto Galvan (Benita); daughter, Zayla Galvan; stepdad, Gary Pearse; sisters, Jessica Galvan, Erika Galvan; brothers: Cody Kranendonk, Riley Maughan, Joshua Maughan, Kirby Norman, Rigo Galvan, Daniel Galvan, and Esgar Galvan; nieces (8); nephews: (10). 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Paulette Pearse and grandparents.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401. Friends may visit with family on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah 84401.
