Nicholas Joe Ukena

Nicholas Joe Ukena was born September 6, 1950, to Dawson Walton Ukena and Bonnie June Ukena and died on July 29, 2024, in Ogden, Utah at home due to long term cancer.

He is survived by his older sister, Terry Jean Ukena of Roy. Nicholas was preceded in death by both parents and his younger sister, Trudy Kay Ukena Smith.

Nicholas was led to the Lord in 1995 by Pastor Mark Short. He enjoyed serving the Lord through his local church Berean Baptist. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking, and eating. 

He worked in construction most of his life and retired from Fresenius Medical Care in 2017. He enjoyed about 2 years of retirement before he was diagnosed with cancer.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Berean Baptist Church at 3846 Jackson Avenue, Ogden, Utah 84403. Friends may visit with family from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow at Milton Pioneer Cemetery, 181 North Morgan Valley Drive, Morgan, Utah 84050.
