Norman Thompson Rogers Nov 3, 1939 - Mar 29, 2013 Norm died quietly and at his home in Kaysville after a long hard struggle with C.O.P.D. He was born in Garland, Utah, son of Alverta Thompson Rogers and Russell Boyd Rogers attended Garland Elementary School and graduated from Bear River High School Class of 1958. He was a member of the National Guard and received an honorable discharge, training during a period of non-war action. He married Marsha Lynne Roundy in 1969; he leaves one son, Bradley Ted Rogers and wife, Denise of Ogden; daughter, Erin Lynne Moore of Ogden; two wonderful grandchildren, Brenden Ted, and Josie Lyn Rogers. How much he loved all of them and was so proud of each one's accomplishments. Norm was a quiet, kind, and hard-working man. He was a professional truck driver with many awards for safe driving to his credit. Companies included Garret Freight Lines, Albertsons and ABF where he stayed until he retired. He enjoyed visiting with friends, hot coffee, cold beer, fishing, baseball, the Utah Jazz and his T.V. remote control. He is survived by two sisters and one brother, Marilyn Harris of Rexburg, Idaho; Arlene (Del Ray) Stark of Shelly, Idaho and brother, Burke (Sheryl) Rogers of Brigham City. He was preceded in death by parents, two sisters, and one brother. We would like to thank IHC Hospice for the kind loving care shown to Norm during his times of need all showed compassion and truly cared. Our neighbors and friends who helped during our times of stress we will be forever grateful. Norman was very adamant about bring cremated and that no services be held. I will honor his wishes at this time. A Celebration of Life for Norm will be held at a later date for family and friends
