Octavio Martinez, 44, passed away of natural causes at home in Ogden, on July 28, 2017. The youngest of 12 children, Octavio was born in Laredo, Texas, on August 15, 1972, to Ernesto Esquivel and Inez Juarez Martinez.
The family moved to Utah, in 1979 and Octavio attended Ogden High School before working in various occupations; including for the IRS, Jetway, Wal-Mart, and lastly Kimberly-Clark before he became disabled.
Octavio loved cars, oldies and country music, and joking around. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his siblings: Juan Carlos (Herlinda) Martinez, San Antonio, TX; Dora Martinez, Ogden; Roberto Martinez, Ogden; Edwardo (Diana) Martinez, Oklahoma City, OK; Laura Aragon, West Jordan; Rogeliop (Maria) Martinez, Tooele; Tomas (Andy) Martinez, Layton; Benita (Humberto) Diaz, Ogden; David Martinez, Layton; and Nancy (Gliberto) Landa, Layton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ernesto Martinez, Jr.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Arron's Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, UT, 84401. Graveside service will be held August 10, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Ogden Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, UT, 84401.
