Olive Lorene Sandberg

Olive Lorene Ross Sandberg passed away Wednesday September 24, 2014 at Mountain View Health Services. She was born on May 1, 1921 to Ferrie James Ross and Carrie Ellen Prows Ross. She spent her childhood in Ogden.

As a young woman, Olive lived in Long Beach, California and worked as a waitress. Eventually, she moved back to Ogden, where she lived for the rest of her life. Olive married Frank Sandberg March 18, 1950. She had a daughter previous to the marriage, Lou Ann. Olive had one more daughter, Carol. She had a step-daughter, Janet, whom she raised as her own. Olive also had three step-sons: Lamar, Harry and Dale Dodge.

Olive enjoyed cooking, crocheting blankets, shopping, going out to eat, traveling, and collecting various items.

She was an active member of the LDS Church. After her husband's death, she took out her endownments and was sealed to her husband in the Ogden Temple.

Olive is survived by two son-in-laws John Koehne (Janet - deceased) and Joe Michelli (Carol - deceased), countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neices and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Thelma Burgess.

Olive was preceded in death by her husband Frank, all of her children and step-children and 3 sisters: Virginia Sandberg, Edith Chamberlain and Erma Warren.

The family would like to thank Mountain View Health Services for the care they provided in Olive's final years.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at  2:00 pm at the Ogden City Cemetery.  A Viewing will be held from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, UT.
