Pacomio (Pat) Valdez

Pat Valdez passed away in his home on November 18, 2013, at the age of 84 years. Pat was born December 17, 1928 in Amelia, New Mexico to Juan and Selenir Valdez. Pat was married to Cecilia O. Gomez on April 10, 1950 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located in Green River, Wyoming. They had been married for 63 years. They had four daughters, Patsy Alzugarat (Bob), Kathy King, Betty and Sally. They also had a son Patrick who preceded his father in death in 1995. He had two grandsons, Michael King and Christopher Sundquist. Pat had four sisters but two of them preceded him death. They were Ofelia Montoya and Maclovia Zamora. His two remaining sisters are Emelia Quintana and Ursulita Montoya. He had many nieces and nephews whom he loved. Pat worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for over thirty years as a machinist and welder. Pat also did whatever needed to be done around his job. Pat loved to hunt, fish and being in the outdoors. We will miss you and we will see you at your favorite fishing spot. The Valdez family wishes to thank Hearts for Hospice for the care given to their father. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 2 pm at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, UT. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, November 21, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm with Holy Rosary at 7 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.
