Parley Nyman Winn

June 5, 1934 — May 26, 2015

Parley Nyman Winn passed away on May 26, 2015. Nyman was born in Smithfield, Utah on June 5, 1934. He was the oldest child of Shirley Egbert and Parley Winn.

He enjoyed an idyllic rural childhood in Smithfield, and no matter where he lived, he called Cache Valley “home.” He graduated from North Cache High School and loved to sing, play baseball, and dance to the big band music. In addition to his many friends, he liked to pal around with and play jokes on his favorite uncle, Larre Egbert.

He received a Master's degree in Business Education from Utah State University and the rest of his life he cheered for the Aggies!

He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and as a young man, served for two years in the Central Atlantic States Mission. For 60 years he served faithfully in many callings and as a home teacher.

He taught business classes at Bonneville High School for 35 years and was the adviser for FBLA and DECA. He enjoyed supporting the Bonneville Laker sports teams.

In 1960, he married LaVerne Belvin and had three children. They later divorced.

In 1980, he married Gail Lucas Graham and her four children. Together they had two more children. Yours, mine and ours!

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ray and stepdaughter Jennifer Graham Daugherty.

He is survived by his wife Gail; children, Perri Winn, Wendi (Alex) Beseris, Mikol Winn, Jeff Graham, Tami (Brandon) Fife, Kathryn Watson, Kristen (Ryan) Wilson, Scott Winn, and 10 grandchildren.
