Patricia Anne King

Our sweet Matriarch Patricia (Pat) Anne King , 89 years young passed into Heavenly Father’s arms early Sunday morning October 11, 2015 after suffering with lung disease.  She was surrounded by her angel nurse and members of her family at her home in Syracuse, Utah.

Born in Los Angeles California July 24th, 1926 to loving parents LaVon and Richard May. She was later joined by her sister Lora Lee.

Pat enjoyed a very happy childhood roaming the open fields of Lawndale, California with her dog Tippy.  She graduated from Leuzinger High School after which, she and Herschel R King were married in Bowie, Texas. A little over a year later they were blessed with their only child Renee.

Pat faithfully served her fellowmen on many levels, volunteering at the neighborhood elementary school for many years, serving in the Los Angeles Temple 16 years and many church callings throughout her lifetime. Patricia also loved her career working with children with disabilities.

She had many interesting stories to tell on most any subject, to anyone who was interested!

10934 Ruth St in Lynwood, California was the place she called home for over 60 years before moving to Syracuse Utah.

Pat always had the desire to serve a mission, which she did by serving faithfully in her callings and being an example of charity to all.

Patricia is survived by her daughter Renee, Grandchildren: Michele (Niels), Kristen (Greg), Michael, Kari and Megan (Ryan). Great Grandchildren:  Chelsea, Jake, Zach, Nick, McKenna and Alex and her cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Herschel, parents, Sister and Son-in-law along with many sweet friends and extended family members.

The Family is holding a private viewing, with the Graveside Services held for all who wish to attend this Friday October 16, 2015 at 12 Noon at the Syracuse City Cemetery 1000W. This service will be followed by a luncheon at the Lehman home.

Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike, Niels, Greg, Ryan, Jake, Zach and Nick.
