Patricia Gaye Walters, 85, of Ogden, Utah, passed away on December 26, 2022. Patti was born
on January 5, 1937, in Ogden. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gay Walters, and her
two adored children, Lynn and Bradley Cowlishaw. Patti is survived by her sister Judy; granddaughters,
Cara and Loni; twelve great-grandchildren: Gaven, DecLynn, Xavier, AddiLynn, EmberLynn, Kaila, Orion,
Essence, Sariah, Patti, Isabel and Lea; and her great-great-grandson Graven.
Patti grew up in Ogden Canyon, and often shared happy memories of her childhood. As a young
girl, Patti had the opportunity to play the violin in the Utah Youth Symphony, and she played the cello in a
band. Patti studied to become a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. She then worked as a counselor
at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Ogden. Patti and her late husband ran a successful painting business in
Ogden. They retired to Florida in 2001. After Gay passed away in 2014, Patti returned home to Ogden to
be with her family and friends there. She lived a very spiritual life which she dedicated to helping a
worldwide organization in service to others.
Patti’s family would like to personally thank the Auberge of North Ogden and its wonderful staff
for their kindness and dedication to caring for Patti in her later years. The family would also like to extend
a very special thank you to Shelleice and Monte Stokes, who loved and cared for Patti following the
death of her husband.
A Celebration of Life, for Patti, will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 2pm-4pm at the
Ogden Alano Club (684 24th St. Ogden, Ut 84401)
