Paul Robert Burpo Sr.
Paul was born on April 21, 1954 to his father Delbert Burpo and mother Mary Weir Burpo in Joliet, Illinois. He is the second youngest of 6 siblings; Gary Burpo, Mark Burpo, Cheryl Burpo Hall, Lissa Burpo Price, and Kimberly Will Burpo.
For eighteen and a half years, Paul courageously served the United States of America as a Chief Gunner’s Mate in the US Navy.
Paul was a friend to all and would give everything he could to ANYBODY that needed it. Paul had a quick wit, was funny, and loved to tell jokes to everyone that would listen. Accordingly, he absolutely loved his children and grandchildren and would let them know daily by sending them a text message. Paul peacefully passed away on February 22, 2016 in Ogden, Utah with the love of his children, son-in-law, and girlfriend Toni, surrounding him.
Paul is survived by his children Pete and Marie Burpo Tijerina, Clinton Burpo, Jason Burpo, and Paul (Jr) and Stephanie Burpo; along with his 9 grandchildren Pete Tijerina Jr, Monica Tijerina, Rosemary Delarosa, Aaron Alvarez, Alejandro Burpo, Preston Burpo, Isabella Burpo, Akira Burpo, Felicity Joy Burpo, and great-granddaughter Aria Alexis Mendez.
