Paul Eugene Flanary (91) saddled up and rode off into the sunset where he was reunited with the love of his life, Marilyn. Paul was born in Nyssa Oregon in 1933. After high school Paul joined the National Guard and returned honorably home into the arms of his mother, Willie Mae.
Paul then attended Brigham Young University where he was the head of the cougarettes. In 1964 Paul married the love of his life Marilyn Sparks, they settled in Bountiful Utah, where they raised 7 children. Paul had many passions, some of which include family vacations traveling in the summer months around the country and racing flat track, and in winter months he enjoyed chariot racing where he was the president of the Beehive Chariot Association.
Paul was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. Paul is survived by his brother, Howard Flanary; his children: Margo Flanary, Bruce (Karen) Flanary, Stacey (Steve) Williams, Dee (Sherri) Flanary, MaryLynne Douglas, and Paul Eugene “Geno” (Megen) Flanary; daughter in law, Janet Flanary; many nieces and nephews; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife, Marilyn; son, Kim; daughter, Paula; son in law, Darren Douglas; parents, Willie Mae and Charles Flanary; sisters: Gladys, Goldie, Ruth, and Betty; brothers, Charles and John; grandson, Paul Joseph; and great-granddaughter, Nora.
A Special thanks to Seasons Assisted Living, Farr West, Utah. In honor of his wishes graveside services will be held February 17th 11 a.m. at Bountiful Cemetery.
