Paul Dean Wagner

October 13, 1944 - November 2, 2016

Our brave and kind dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle, Paul Dean Wagner of Mt. Green, Utah, passed away peacefully from a sudden illness.  He was born on October 13, 1944 in Portland, Oregon.

His family moved to Cascade Locks, Oregon in 1956 and he graduated from Cascade Locks High School.  He graduated from U of O in 1967 where he was active in the ROTC.  Following graduation, he joined the Air Force and had a 21-year active duty career as a pilot and retired as a Major. Then he worked at Hill AFB for 20 years as an instructor in the flight simulator.

After years of being apart, he started dating and traveling the world with his "Sweetheart,” Helen Hanna, Portland, Oregon. They are truly perfect companions.

Dad enjoyed golfing, going to the Oregon Coast, doing things in his yard, traveling, and spending time with family and his granddaughters.

He is survived by daughter, Diana (Jeff) Johnson; son, Dean Wagner (Jana Buck); granddaughters, Shaylee and Sydnee Johnson; sister, Cathy (Terry) Warhol; nephew, Scott (Lori) Warhol; niece, Katie Warhol; and his "Sweetheart.”

Preceded in death by father, Paul Dean Wagner; mother, Florence Kaufmann Bernet; and step-father, Hans Bernet.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 18, 2016, at the Copper Nickel, 2450 Grant Ave., Ogden, Utah.  We would love for family and friends to join us from 6 to 9 pm to remember Dean.

A special thanks to the staff at the George Wahlen Veteran’s Home for the special cares that were given to dad.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the George Wahlen Veteran’s Home, 1102 N. 1200 W., Ogden, UT, in dad's name.
