Paula Diane Vineyard, 68, passed away at her home Friday, June 27, 2008 surrounded by those she loved. She was born August 17, 1939 to Josie Elden Smith and Cleone Windley Smith in Van Nuys, California. She married Buddy Leroy Vineyard February 12, 1966 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The marriage was later solomnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. They moved to Pleasant View, Utah in 1972 from Bakersfield, California. Paula was active in the LDS church and served in numerous ward and stake callings. Together, with Buddy, they enjoyed traveling the world, seeing new things and meeting new people - always willing to go on a new adventure. Her favorite things were centered around her family. She was knows as the "Party Grandma", always organizing family gatherings. Her family will miss her enthusiasm, creativity, and love. She loved flowers and appreciated God's natural beauty in the world around her. She loved doing things for others and was very thoughtful in all she did. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Paula was preceded in death by her mother, Cleone, and her two fathers, Josie Smith and Thayne Hacking. She is survived by her loving spouse, Buddy, and four children: Scott (Cindy) Vineyard of West Haven, UT; Krista (Eric) Green of West Point, UT; Lori (David) Tacher of Boise, ID; Amy (Matthew) Southwick of North Ogden, UT, 12 grandchildren, 3 sisters, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2008 at 11:00am at the LDS Church located at 770 E. 2100 N. in North Ogden, Utah. Preceding the memorial service will be a private family burial service. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Paula Vineyard Charitable Account at any America First Credit Union branch.
