Paulene Gregory

“My horse and I rode off into the sunset…..”
Paulene (Post) Arave, 84, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, October 21,
2023. She lived in Newton, Utah, prior to her stay at Willow Glen in Brigham City.
Paulene was born to Jacob Post Jr. and Fay Knight. She was raised by Lewis
Arave and her mother in Hooper, Utah. She graduated from Weber High School
and furthered her education while serving as a patient care specialist in the
United States Army Reserves. Paulene devoted many years of her life to her
nursing career. She worked at Sunshine Terrace, Logan Valley, and Willow Glen
nursing and rehab care centers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints.
Paulene had an extreme love for animals, especially dogs and horses. She often
reminisced about the great animals she owned during her life and relied on fond
memories of her horse Ruffles, visits with her dog Marti, and lots of chocolate to
get her through tough times.
She is survived by her children, Becky Bogart, Timothy (Sherrie) Bunot, Andrew
(Kim) Bunot, and Matt Moeller; 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, older sister JoAnn, twin brother Paul,
and grandson Andrew Ronald Bunot. 
We wish to extend our appreciation to the staff at Willow Glen for the care
Paulene received during her stay. Many of the staff members went beyond the
call of duty to not only ensure Paulene’s comfort but also become her friends. In
addition, we appreciate our special friend Catherine Phelps for her friendship and
taking such good care of Paulene.
Graveside services will be held on Friday October 27, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Hooper
City Cemetery, 5301 S. 6300 W. Hooper, Utah.
